So much to talk about, Cutler, Roethlisburger, and more

After attempting to do a show last Friday night, not being able to record it, and and then taking the rest of the week off, there is just a lot to catch up on and talk about.  Two of the many topics that have been on my mind are Jay Cutler and Ben Roethlisberger.  How is it that Jay Cutler gets so much heat and being called a quiter, yet  an accused rapist, not once but twice, is seemingly embraced by Steeler Nation, the press, and football fans alike and called a changed man.

Jay Cutler like Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of something, no not being  a rapist like Big Ben, but a quitter. As most know Cutler was pounded by the press, former and current NFL players on Twitter, radio and TV talk shows, as well as football fans for quitting on his team  after failing to return to play in the NFC Conference Championship. After hurting his knee toward, what was believed to be, one of the last offensive series of the first half, Cutler sustained a grade 2 sprain of the MCL. It was reported this week he was given a pain shot at half time of the championship game, and against the advice of the Bears’ medical staff tried to give it a go during the first series of the second half. Most of us witnessed where that went and it didn’t go well for Cutler and he did not return.  Many criticized Cutler for not fighting, begging and pleading for his return to the contest. Does this make him a quitter? Who is anyone to judge Cutlers manhood due to injury? (I am interested in your thoughts.) But yet Ben Roethlisburger, during media day and throughout the last two weeks is embraced by the media teammates, former players and the like as a changed man. Does Cutler ever recover from this, and is Ben getting a free pass?
