JD Sports’ takeover of Footasylum is facing greater investigation after the challenger watchdog counselled it is likely to could result in “a worse shopping suffer for customers”.
The Competition and Markets Authority will refer the PS90m deal to a “phase 2” investigation, which necessitates it will take a more in-depth look at the tie-up.
