KIEV, Ukraine- Several dozen far-right organizers in Ukraine have been detained after disputes with police in the capital of Kiev.
Far-right partisans on Saturday tried to storm a police headquarters in Kiev after several others were detained at a campaign event for presidential applicant Yulia Tymoshenko. The partisans were challenging right in the assassination of an anti-corruption partisan. They suspect that a is part of Tymoshenko’s party was involved in the slaying.
The National Police said late Saturday that it had imprisoned 40 beings and opened three criminal cases probing violence against law enforcement officers.
Later Saturday, various dozen masked men staged an impromptu protester and hurled flares at the residence of the Ukrainian interior minister to protest the detentions.
