The Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens square off on Sunday in Baltimore for what should be a terrific game in the NFL’s Wild Card weekend. But one Charger has already heard enough from Ravens fans for one period.
The Chargers’ star running back Melvin Gordon caught an Uber ride from a diehard Ravens fan and took to some good natured, light-hearted smack-dab be discussed with a slant: the driver “havent had” sentiment who Gordon was. And, lucky for us, Gordon captured it on video.
Gordon can be smiling as the unseen operator rollings out all the reasons why the Ravens will beat the Chargers and claiming that Ravens rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson( a Heisman Trophy winner) is superior to the Chargers’ future Hall of Famer Philip Rivers.
When Gordon requests the move, “What about that running back, that Melvin Gordon kid? ” the move is plenty complimentary, much to Gordon’s delight. The driver says, “Oh yeah he’s something, he’s something.”
But it’s even more delightful when Gordon eventually discovers his identity to the motorist who asks for an autograph and a selfie. We’ll understand who’s right about the match-up when the Chargers and Ravens square off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.
