It’s not every day you look three of the greatest tennis actors casually practising in one photo.
Tennis fiction Rafael Nadal announced a cheeky photo from Wimbledon on Sunday, taken away from the reputable tournament’s practice fields.
On the other two tribunals? Oh, just some guys called Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
What a lineup, hey? Between these three players alone, there’s more than a few Grand Slam names — 49, in fact. That’s Nadal in front, Djokovic on the left, and Federer making a return on the right.
The trio were taking a moment to practice on Sunday ahead of the fourth round at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, England.
Needless to say, tennis supporters couldn’t contain their glee at the batch of “the holy trinity” rehearsing side by side, with some offering up some observations exclusively big-hearted tennis geeks could have picked up.
This is greatness in 1 picture
Roger Federer – 20 grand slams
Rafael Nadal- 17 grand slams
Novak Djokovic- 12 grand slams
That’s 49 between the 3 of them and I have no doubt it’ll become 50 at the end of Wimbledon

It’s a particularly poignant instant for adherents of the age-old Federer-Nadal rivalry known as Fedal — the pair are widely was considered as two of the greatest actors of all time, and have all along been jostled for the two top men’s spots in the ATP Rankings. But, it’s was transformed into more of a bromance over the years.
36-year-old Federer is the defending Wimbledon champ, and although countless commentators expect victory to go to either Roger or Rafa, anything could happen. Next, Djokovic will take on 22 -year-old Karen Khachanov of Russia, Federer will toy France’s confident Adrian Mannarino, and Nadal is up against 24 -year-old Czech player Jiri Vesely.
At least for a moment, though, they’re all on equal footing in this rather delightful photo.
