Tinder has hit quantity 1 in the App Store’s top grossing category for the very first time.
Claiming top spot in the App Store likely has to do with the global launching of Tinder Gold, which lets users view “whos had” liked them without swiping at all, amongst other premium features.
Tinder’s initial foray into monetization came in 2015 with the launching of Tinder Plus, which lets users “Rewind” on accidental left swipes and included the “Passport” feature, making users search outside of their current geographical radius.
The company has since included new income mannequins, such as advertising within the feed. Plus also includes a limited sum of a la carte paid facets, such as Super Like and Tinder Boost. Super Like lets you advise someone you really like that you’re into them before they even swipe on you, observing your chart with a big blue-blooded hotshot. Tinder Boost, on the other hand, makes you hop-skip the line and startle to the breast of other users’ feeds as they browse the dating service.
While Tinder Gold was in experimenting in a handful of groceries for the recent months, the company officially flattened out Tinder Gold worldwide on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Tinder surfaced the Top Grossing category of the App Store.
